0 Kate - 50,000 to go

With just minutes to go, I can hardly wait - the day was filled with such wild anticipation.............5 minutes & I can finally begin.  Tomorrow starts with early morning writing and a meet & greet in Clifton Park - it will be nice to meet others who are also up for the task....

NaNoWriMo

In approximately 24 hours, it will be officially NaNoWriMo which stands for National Novel Writing Month. The challenge: start and complete a 50,000 word novel during the month of November.   If I had the month off, I might not find this so offensive, but I have a full time job (and then some) I am also in the middle of having my house remodeled. 

Life is crazy, so I figured, what the heck! 

Fortunately I have a good friend that I was recently re-acquainted with who as it turns out is as passionate about this as I am.  It's always amazing how that happens.   Another stroke of luck: as I was cleaning out old books (for the remodeling project) I came across a plot that I had outlined a couple of years back but never worked on. 

So just like that God sent me a writing buddy and a plot - how can I not take this challenge?
